Marketing and Special Events Intern

  • Managed Senseo, an incoming corporate promotion which brought in $28,000 for the City’s general fund.
  • Organized, set up, and supervised corporate and non-profit special events on New York City parkland.
  • Assisted in citywide promotional efforts for Parks Citywide Bocce Tournament and the Great Halloween Party in Central Park– mailed fliers, reviewed mailing lists, coordinated Parks onsite presence in the Columbus Day Parade.
  • Handled phone calls and answered questions from City residents and companies dealing with Parks special events.
  • Recruited eight greenmarket vendors for venue at the City’s annual Halloween Party in Central Park that attracted over 15,000 people.
  • Wrote informative memos for Parks, NYPD, and Central Park Conservancy employees, describing every aspect of special events that take place on parkland.
  • Determined site fees based on the City’s concession fee schedule and wrote up fee assessments for the Chief of Marketing and Corporate Sponsorships.
